What Is Lesson Credit and How Do I Earn It?
Lesson Credit is a reward added to your account to say thanks for things like referring your friends to us. You can use your lesson credit towards the cost of future lessons you book through Tutorful. You might also receive credit thanks to our Satisfaction Guarantee, or through special Tutorful marketing promotions.
How Do I Use My Credit and What Do I Pay?
Lesson Credit will automatically be deducted from the next lesson you pay for. If there’s any left over, we’ll automatically use it towards the lesson after that. For example, if you have £20 of credit but your lesson only costs £15, we’ll use £15 of your credit to cover your lesson and leave £5 on your account to be used later.
If your available Lesson Credit is less than the cost of your lesson, we’ll use whatever credit you have and then charge you the difference 24 hours after your lesson as normal, using the payment details on your account. For example, if you have £10 of Lesson Credit, but your lesson costs £15, we’ll automatically use your £10 Lesson Credit and we’ll charge your card the remaining £5 24 hours after the lesson.
Where Can I See My Lesson Credit Balance?
Your current Lesson Credit balance can be found by logging in and visiting the Lessons tab on your Dashboard. If you have a Lesson Credit balance of zero, you will not see any balance on your Lessons tab.
What If I Receive A Refund?
For lessons where Lesson Credit has been used to pay some or all of the lesson cost, refunds can still be requested in the usual way. In the event that you are eligible for a refund for a lesson where Lesson Credit was used towards some or all of the cost, we will refund you the amount your card was charged. We may also be able to reinstate any Lesson Credit used, but this will be at our discretion.
What If I Cancel A Lesson?
If you cancel your lesson more than 24 hours before the lesson is due to start, or if your lesson is cancelled by your tutor, you will not be charged and no Lesson Credit will be deducted from your balance.
If you cancel your lesson less than 24 hours before the lesson is due to start, you’ll be liable for the standard ‘late cancellation’ fee of 50% or 100% of the lesson cost. This ‘late cancellation’ fee will be charged directly to the payment details provided on your account. Lesson Credit will not be used towards late lesson cancellation fees.
How Long Does Lesson Credit Last For?
Lesson Credit will remain on your account for 3 months from the date it was applied before being removed. For example, if you receive £10 Lesson Credit on the 1st June, it will expire and be removed on the 1st September so make sure to organise your lessons in plenty of time!
