We’re protective about who we allow to tutor through Tutorful. Every tutor completes a full profile and passes our checks before we approve them.
What every tutor must provide
- A full profile: past experience, qualifications, a profile photo, a tagline, and details of their suitability to tutor.
- Photographic ID (driving licence or passport), verified during onboarding.
- Two references from people who vouch for their suitability. We can’t accept references from family members.
- An Enhanced DBS background check.
How we decide
Once a profile is complete, we manually review it and approve only the best. If the listed experience doesn’t point to expert, professional service, or the prices aren’t in line with student expectations, we won’t allow that tutor onto the platform.
