At Tutorful, we seek to help students make an informed choice when deciding who to learn with, as opposed to making that choice for them. That being said, we are protective about who we allow to join and work through our platform.
Every tutor must complete a full profile - otherwise, students cannot make the informed choice we seek to allow. This includes adding details of their past experience, a profile photo, a tagline and details of their suitability to tutor.
If we deem that the experience listed does not point towards an ability to deliver expert, professional services, or that the prices listed will not be in line with our students’ expectations, we will not allow a tutor to use the platform.
Each new tutor must also:
- Upload a copy of their photographic ID (driving license or passport), which is automatically verified by our third-party payment provider, Stripe.
- Secure two references from individuals who vouch for their suitability to tutor.*
Once a tutor has completed their profile, we manually review each profile and select the best ones to tutor with us.
