For sites like ours where payment is processed on behalf of our users, there are a few things we have to do in order to comply with money laundering regulations. One of them is that we must collect additional information before we can release any payments to our tutors' accounts. This includes dates of birth, billing addresses, and ID documents (i.e. passport and driving license).
Essentially, we require your billing information and identification so that we can pay you!
Unfortunately, because we would not be able to pay you for any lessons you teach without this, we are unable to set you live on our site until you have uploaded a copy of your ID and it has been verified.
We'll never share your ID document with anyone who visits the site!
